Karma Clinic Pool
Jun 01, 2023At Energy Matters, we firmly believe that everyone deserves access to the type of healthcare that works for them. However, we understand that alternative healing services, like the ones we offer, can often be financially out of reach for individuals with limited disposable income.
As a small business, we work diligently to cover our overhead expenses and get our employees to a fair, livable wage. Our pricing structure reflects these financial needs. In our commitment to being community-oriented providers, we have implemented discounts for students, teachers, and military personnel. While we will certainly extend these discounts to low-income families, we acknowledge that it may not be sufficient to make our services truly affordable for this population.
We have observed the increasing prevalence of GoFundMe campaigns aimed at covering healthcare expenses. And while we could spend time lamenting the reality that requires this, we can also appreciate the compassion of those who can choose to offer support. So we have and will continue to ask existing clients and friends of Energy Matters to consider putting money into our pay-it-forward, Karma Clinic pool. By establishing this pool, we can serve low-income families while ensuring the continued financial viability of our business.
The funds generated from this pool will subsidize discounted clinic services and registrations for our 21 Day and Qigong programs. To determine eligibility for assistance, Energy Matters uses the Oakland Housing authorities income limits.
See under the “Extremely Low” and “Very Low” income categories.
While we are currently unable to provide services to our unhoused neighbors, we are exploring ways to restart our Karma Clinic events to support nonprofits that assist members of our community experiencing homelessness.
If you are interested in having your Energy Matters services subsidized by the Karma Clinic pool, please email us at [email protected].
We deeply appreciate your desire to take part in our mission to make alternative healthcare more accessible for those in need.
